Join us for a national convening about the illicit massage industry—arguably one of the most prolific and misunderstood forms of human trafficking in the United States.
The two-day gathering will provide a collaborative space to learn from professionals across the anti-trafficking field, along with expert training on promising and effectives strategies to combat human trafficking in illicit massage businesses.
The convening will be educational and action-oriented: to both improve understanding of the issue and to equip professionals with the insights, tools, and best practices that will lead to positive impact.

Convening Information
This two-day event is designed for law enforcement, service providers, massage regulators, and government officials seeking to enhance their response to human trafficking in the illicit massage industry. The event is closed to the public and participation is by invitation only.
There will be a mix of training sessions, hands-on learning activities, panel discussions, and action planning. Content will highlight promising and effective strategies—such as trafficking victim identification, case investigation and prosecution, ordinance reform, civil enforcement, cross-agency collaboration, and access to service provision—to build capacity for a more comprehensive response to this particular form of exploitation.
Registration
Thanks to the OMNI Los Angeles and generous supporters of The Network, we are able to keep registration costs low. Early bird pricing has been extended and is $50.00 if you register on or before November 11, 2022. Registration cost will increase to $80.00 starting November 12th. Registration includes access to the entire two-day agenda, coffee, breakfast, lunches for both days, and WIFI internet access on the convening floor.
If your organization would like to have an exhibitor table, please select the exhibitor table option during online registration. If you have multiple people attending from your organization, only one person needs to select the exhibitor option.
There is a limited amount of scholarship funding available for attendees. Any scholarships offered will be determined on an as-needed basis. For more information, please contact convening@thenetworkteam.org.
There is no virtual attendance option for the convening.
Venue & Accommodations
The OMNI Los Angeles has a designated hotel room block for registered convening participants. Discounted room rates are $219.00 per night for the two-day convening. Attendees should plan to check-in on January 10th after 4pm and have the option of staying two or three nights. The two-day agenda will take place January 11-12.
There is a limited number of federal per diem room rates ($182.00 per night). If you qualify, please contact convening@thenetworkteam.org for specific hotel booking details.
