Eve He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the Human Trafficking Program Manager working with the Garden of Hope agency in New York City where she has served survivors of human trafficking, sexual assault, and domestic violence since 2018. Clinically, Eve conducts a variety of assessments, including psychological evaluations and victim identification screenings. She provides culturally informed psychotherapy to survivors to aid them in alleviating the psychiatric consequences associated with their traumas and in preventing further victimization. Eve also serves as a legal advocate for her clients and will often provide written testimony and affidavits to support them in matters related to prostitute-based offenses as well as those concerning immigration status. She also provides training and consultation on trauma-informed victim interviewing and culturally-informed services for immigrant survivors. Eve grew up in Mainland, China and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
